Christine Brunswick, the ABA Tax Section's long-time Executive Director, passed away on Monday February 25, 2013, after a long and brave struggle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held for Chris on Friday, March 1, from 12 noon until 3 p.m. at the National Women's Democratic Club, 1526 New Hampshire Ave., NW. The service is open to all Tax Section members. As many of you knew, Chris was very active in the National Breast Cancer Coalition. A fund has been established in her honor. WELCOME TO THE INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL TAXATION
The Institute for International Taxation Inc. (IITI) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit Delaware corporation. Its members are senior tax professionals from a number of jurisdictions.
The Institute has been organized to:
- To organize international conferences with the support of American Bar Association, Section of Taxation, the Taxes Committee of the International Bar Association, the US Branch and other Regional Branches of the International Fiscal Association, and the International Tax Committee of the American Bar Association, Section on International Law.
- To offer scholarships to worthy young lawyers to advance their legal training.
- To provide a mechanism for exchange of information on tax topics of interest among our members and also a quick reference point for members who have inquiries and wish informational support from other members.
- To provide a reference library of articles and papers on a variety of topics prepared by our members.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is personal and by invitation only. Members are senior tax professionals who have exhibited a sincere commitment to the objectives of the Institute. There is no financial cost to membership in the Institute.
The annual meeting of the members of the Institute for International Taxation, Inc. is held during the IFA Annual Conference. Notice of the meeting is forwarded to members in advance of that meeting.
